HiTail Rabbitry is run by Becky Stock and Amanda O'Gorman of West Des Moines, Iowa.

Becky has been raising rabbits since 1986, focusing on Netherland Dwarfs since 1988. Over the years she has raised many breeds such as Dutch, Himalayans, Mini Rex, Holland Lops, Jersey Woolies, Polish, Havanas, Beveren, Standard Chinchilla, and Palomino. Becky was granted an ARBA Rabbit Registrar’s license in 1992, when she was 16 years old, and an ARBA All Breed Judges license in 2002. She no longer holds either of those two licenses. She hopes to pursue those avenues sometime in the near future.

Becky and her son Mike are very active in the Iowa 4-H program with both Cat and Rabbit Projects and the Iowa State Fair. Becky enjoys spending time with her family, cats and her Beagle named Louie. She also is a member of the MIOBI Four Wheel Drive Club and enjoys four-wheeling with her brother and friends.

Amanda has had rabbits for the past 14 years, focusing on Netherland Dwarfs since 1998. Originally from South Dakota, she was very successful showing in youth and open. Amanda moved to Des Moines in the summer of 2003, after graduating High School. Throughout the years many breeds have been in her barn, including American Fuzzy Lops, French Lops, New Zealands, and Rex. The two breeds that are here to stay are Dwarfs and Mini Lops.

Along with the rabbits and cavies, Amanda shares her home with a variety of animals including her three dogs, Selkirk Rex and Maine Coon cats, and an assortment of reptiles. She is currently an active member of the Iowa Herpetological Society.

2008 brought many changes. We joined our herds in early January, and started showing together under Stock/O'Gorman in March. 2008 also brought in new stock, new colors, and even a new barn!
